Violin, School, and all that other fun stuff

Good morning! I know, I know, it's been ages since I've posted. There have  been quite a few times lately where I think, "Oh, I'll blog about this," plan it out in my head, and then still never get around to writing it.

Anyways, hello. I honestly don't think I've posted since starting high school this year! Well, it is quite overwhelming, but I like most of the teachers, and am doing pretty well in most classes. Syracuse Youth Strings Orchestra is going well. These are the 2nd cycles pieces, although I have to say I liked the first concert's better:

Click to hear: Reflexions

Click to hear: Romeo and Juliet

Click to hear: Sentimental Saraband

Well, that's all I have time to post about! I'll post later! Bye <3

Vacation :)

Hello :)
We (being me and Laurel) are in Myrtle Beach this week, sitting on the porch in the hot weather even at 10 oclock at night. It is so much fun here and we spend so much time on the beach. We have made v-logs every day and when we get home we will post them along with a blog post :) Sorry I haven't posted in forever. See you... another day.

Quote of the day :)

"I used to be indecisive. Now... I'm not sure."

This quote fits me pretty well.

The Hunger Games

I am now officially a part of the Hunger Games madness.

P.S- If anyone has a copy of Mockingjay that they can magically teleport to me in a matter of minutes before I die, that would be great. Although, it would be hard for me to steal such stunningly amazing and scarily addicting literature from you. But you could manage. Because I would finish it. At 4 a.m. Or whenever I would finish. Then I would return it immediately.

P.P.S- Anyone who knows me well- I haven't been this obsessed with a book since I first read Walk Two Moons. And that includes Harry Potter.

Quotes :)

OK. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I decided that as often as I remember I am going to post a quote that I like. I already have one at the bottom of my blog, but here is my quote of the day. Oh, and I can't always find who said it, but I am not trying to steal anything from anybody. Promise.
So, quote of the day...

"Don't let the world change your smile, let your smile change the world."

Days Off Are Nice

So today, I'm by myself. Originally, I was only going to be alone for the morning, and I would go to my friend Ali's house around noon. Unfortunately, that couldn't happen. So I have the day to myself. I was bummed at first, but now I'm having fun! When Mom came to tell me she was leaving for work with Anna, I was still in bed on my iPod, lazy. And when Mom texted me to check in at 11:00, I guess I was still in my P.Js, because I replied, "Good- and lazy. =)" After that,  things changed. I got on Gmail chat with Ali, ate some cookies (haha) laughed for no reason, and danced and sang to every Taylor Swift song imaginable, and watched every Ellen episode possible. All in this crazy summer outfit that doesn't match, with my fuzziest blanket wrapped around me. And when I was twirling in the kitchen, I was also making tea, when I stopped and realized this was not a great idea. Then, me and Ali laughed our heads off at my stupidness until Eva got on and we started typing Row, Row, Row Your Boat to each other. Yeah... We are certainly a special bunch. (Love ya, guys! <3) I realized I had been on for almost 2 hours with Ali, and half an hour with Eva, so I decided to go do something else with my life.

Love!!!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was great. As usual, I stuffed myself, but more on dessert than "real food."
I got Twister! Now at MY sleepovers, my friends will have to play HERE too!
I am going to start running before track starts so I can not take the first two weeks of practice so hard, like last year. I 'm gonna use the Couch to 5K thing and, as always, my own thing. Wish me good luck and good motivation, cause there is many a time where I wanna run... but don't.

Lazy. =P

I'm here...

Wow, sorry I just realized that I haven't written here in almost a month! Sorry. Just wanted to let you know that I'm alive. Once the musical is over (4 days!) I will start posting again!

Alice in Wonderland!

For my school musical this year, we are doing Alice in Wonderland, Jr. I, sadly, did not get a part, but am in the chorus.
My awesome friend, Emily decided to have her friends from the musical over to watch the old version of Alice in Wonderland.
This is who came:
Eva- my BFFL, Mathilda in the play, Alice's boring bookworm of a sister. (Love you, Evester <3)
Casey- my calm(est) friend who is Lily in the play.
Krista- Petunia! Great singer!
Madeline- not in play, but came anyway, cause she's just cool like that! Hope your legs feel better :(
Adrianne- White Rabbit! Who's a cute bunny?? =)
Caroline- Rose! "Beauty with virtue is a flower without perfume..."
And of course: Emily! Thanks so much! You are the queen! (of Hearts) and a nice one too!
Also, big thanks to Emily's family!

So, the movie. We watched the old version, the cartoon one.
Not what I expected... They are all, well, as Adrianne puts it; "MESSED UP and ON DRUGS!! "
It was so much fun though! Then we "played" Cranium. We never finished and barely got through all of us having a turn. Then we sang! Even me, who never sings in front of people! Alone! Well, with Eva, but close enough. There was pizza and soda everywhere! Even on the floor...

I had a great time!  I love all my friends!

An Awesome Autumn Afternoon! (and day!)

Today was a pretty good day! It makes me wish that we didn't have school in fall too, so I could have a lot of awesome days. In the morning, Anna and I played I Spy on the computer for the three hundred millionth time, so now I pretty much know where everything is. The fun part is imagining while you do it as the pictures and things move and interact, not really finding the things. I love it, although I sometimes say I don't, because Anna mocks me for playing it as a 13 year old.

Then, Annie's second soccer game. I really didn't want to go this morning, but I had fun when I was there. All the little girls are soooo cute, even though the games are sometimes really frustrating (and funny!) to watch. There's a swarm of little girls all around the ball, and constantly people, including me, are yelling "We need defense! Move back! Block the goal! Spread out, Tigers!" :)

Then, apple picking!!! At Beak and Skiff Farms. I was disappointed at first that we weren't going to Abbott's, where we normally go, but I liked this place too, for its own reasons.
Beak & Skiff is HUGE. There were so many people. Abbott's is a small little family like farm. This was more... touristy. There was a giant pumpkin bounce house, pony rides with super long lines, a huge store where you can't even move, etc. Mom said its the place that has apple cider at grocery stores. It reminded me of Uncle John's in Michigan.

Even just to go pick apples was a lot different. You ride a tractor there. You had to stand in extra long lines, and a tractor came like, every 5 minutes. When you got to the, literally, thousands of apple tree orchard, a guy stood and talked to you about how to pick the apples, where to go, and, the rules. There were stepladders to reach the high apples.

I've been trying to eat healthy. So much for that. At least for today.
Apple Dumpling

And apple cider. Geesh. And for dinner, chili. Dessert: Apple Pie. :)

Then we came home and Annie and I played Little House on the Prairie in the garden, and picked green beans (and rose petals that fell on the ground.) I, all of a sudden, found about a million picture opportunities. Here are the ones that turned out.
Pretty.
Close up

These were cobwebs still wet on our bushes. It looked really cool.

It was a really, really fun day. Tomorrow, will be a really, really busy day. Let's hope it's as good as today. <3
